Remembrance Sunday

November 10th 2025

Nearly 200 people came to pay their respects at the War memorial St. Just on Remembrance Sunday 9th November. The service was led by Rev. Karsten Wedgewood, Doug Luxford read the Roll of Honour and The Last Post was played by Gail Barnes from Pendeen Silver Band. There was a procession from the Miners Chapel to the Clock Tower and after the The Roll of Honour was called, the procession moved on to a service at St. Just Parish Church. In recent years there has just been a small group of 3 to 4 behind the Remembrance events – The Church, The Chapel, the Poppy appeal and Doug Luxford.
