A Community Litter Pick was held in St Just on Saturday 21/03/2026 & was organised by St Just Town Council as part of the national Keep Britain Tidy ‘ Great British Spring Clean ‘ Campaign. It was supported by Cornwall Council & Biffa which loaned litter pickers and high-visibility jackets.etc for the event. Over a two-hour period on Saturday morning a group of enthusiastic volunteers made up of local children, parents, & local residents in St Just & the surrounding area tackled some of the well-known litter ‘hot spots. Ultimately, together we collected 20 bags of rubbish / litter & various ‘ Fly tipped ‘ items large & small as shown by the attached photo. On behalf of St Just Town Council & as the Coordinator of the litter pick I would like to pass on my heartfelt thanks to everybody, young & old alike who turned up to enthusiastically help to make St Just look a bit more spike & span & hopefully had some fun doing it? The results speak for themselves. I think collectively we could give the Wombles a run for their money! Thanks once again for your support. All the best Councillor Doug Luxford
